The Chameleon MIL (military) Antenna is the best portable whip antenna on the market. Its design has been borrowed from similar antennas utilized by many armies all over the world. The MIL is very hardy, sturdy and portable (being collapsible). If utilized with the Chameleon HYBRID, the MIL will cover 6M to 160M at a power rate of 1500W SSB. Used in the field or as a stationary mobile configuration the Chameleon MIL will increase the communication capacity and efficiency with great ease. Unmounted the entire antenna length is less than 29". The 5 aluminum sections are hold together by a piece of 1/8th inch US GI MIL SPEC shock cord that can be replaced by the operator if necessary. But its 85% elongation and break point of 95 pounds properties make the 1/8th inch US GI MIL SPEC shock cord the best on the market.
THE CHAMELEON MIL WHIP ANTENNA CAN ONLY BE USED AS PORTABLE OR IN A SEMI-PERMANENT INSTALLATION. NEVER USE IT MOBILE WHILE IN MOTION.
Contrarily to other manufacturers the Chameleon MIL Whip Antenna has no brass components. When brass is utilized with aluminum "electrolyze" could happen and deteriorate antenna strength and performance over time.
