The Chameleon HF Multiband Zepp Antenna has been specially designed for apartments, condominiums, homeowners associations, deed restrictions and CCRs (Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions), ARES, RACES, MARS, EMCOMM, NVIS, First Responders, Emergency Preparedness and attic antenna installation. It's a true base station or portable stealth antenna.
The antenna is 75' long and covers 10M to 80M. The Zepp is composed of a 25' matching section and a 50' radiator. To eliminate possible RFI the antenna is attached to a UNUN 1:1. The antenna can directly be connected on an external antenna tuner with the provided 1' jumper cable (RG-8X) (recommended). A maximum of 100' of low loss coax cable such as RG-8X can also be added.
A more horizontal configuration of the Zepp antenna will be good for local communications (NVIS from 0 - 400 miles) on 40M (day - evening) and 80M (night). A vertical installation will provide a horizontal polarization and will benefit long-range communications on 40M and below.
To maximize long distance communications such as DX contacts it is preferable to have a nice line of sight with the horizon. It is also very important to avoid any metallic surfaces to get in contact with the 50' radiator.
The antenna can be installed in different configurations such as:

- Vertically twisted around a fiberglass mast or wooden core
The inverted "V" and the Sloped configurations are usually the most popular among users.
Setup Examples:
Because of its particular design the Zepp antenna can be installed on the edge of a wooden fence, in a tree, on a house rooftop in a loop pattern, in an attic in a vertical loop pattern or twisted around a flagpole.
When rolled in a bundle the antenna can easily fit into a lunch box, backpack, suit case or any other handbags. The deployment time is between 2 minutes to about 10 minutes depending of the chosen antenna configuration.
