MFJ-269D RF Analyzers combine five basic circuits: a variable oscillator, frequency counter, frequency multiplier, 50 ohm RF-Bridge, and a 12-bit A-D converter and microcontroller. They perform a wide variety of useful antenna and RF impedance measurements, including coaxial cable loss and electrical distance to an open or short. Applications to 520 MHz allow operations through many commercial/government VHF/UHF bands.
Primarily designed for analyzing 50 ohm antenna and transmission line systems; MFJ-269Cs measure RF impedances between a few ohms and several hundred ohms. An easily accessed user controlled Z0 setting in the function menus allows for changing SWR and other SWR functions (i.e. return loss, reflection coefficient, match efficiency, etc.) to any normalized impedance value between 5 and 600 ohms. This feature is especially useful in 75 ohm and 300 ohm antenna systems.
MFJ-269C RF Analyzers also function as a non-precision signal source and frequency counter. The operating frequency range of these units extends from 0.53 to 230 MHz in nine overlapping bands and includes extended SWR measurements on 415-520 MHz. They require 10 AA size batteries for portable operation (sold separately).
