- Hi there these antennas work really well, I think they have 1 o2 db gain over a dipole, the biggest problem with them is water ingress, you have to really go overboard with waterproofing them, you will need a lot of self amalgamating tape and some liquid glue, araldite and plastic tale...there are few U tube clips on it but one by Ray G4 something in Sussex...good luck and keep the water out...there is a good article from a PE station on it, worth looking at...from Fred g4vvq
